In 2021, Carolyn and Michael enlisted the services of a matchmaker. That’s right folks. Real-life matchmakers do exist! Individually, both found the company LunchDates. This matchmaking company sets its clients up on blind dates after conducting in-depth interviews on their personal history, current life, morals, and partnership goals. The dates are truly blind. No pictures or personal details are shared about your match and contact before the date is discouraged. So LunchDates set Carolyn and Michael’s first date for December 12, 2021, at 5:30 PM at the Fireside Grille in Middleborough Massachusetts. Michael walked into their first date excited, hopeful, and eager. This was only his 2nd blind date with LunchDates after all. On the other hand, Carolyn walked into their first date with excitement tinged with wariness, hesitancy, and reluctant hopefulness. For you see this was Carolyn’s 16th blind date with LunchDate and the routine was getting old. Luckily for the future couple, this blind first date did beat all the odds and was truly magical. Both felt an instant connection. Michael did not let even half the date go by before securing and scheduling a 2nd date. As the evening came to a close, Carolyn and Michael knew that this was the start of something special. Over the next year, Carolyn and Michael grew as people and as a couple. As their connection grew, it became clear they had found their soulmates. Don’t worry, they know how corny that sounds! On January 17, 2023, Michael popped the question to Carolyn in the middle of the Caribbean Ocean on a helipad on a cruise ship where Carolyn answered with a resounding YES! The rest is history! Now the happy couple cannot wait to celebrate with all of their friends, family, and loved ones.
