We met for the first time on Zoom in the fall of 2020 for a MHA and MHP cohort meet and greet. A few months later we had the opportunity to meet in person for the first time on Pitts campus at an outdoor event. We spent about ten minutes there before heading to Mario's Oakland for drinks and pizza with the rest of our classmates. Carolyn remembers Mabeth being very charming and funny. Mabeth remembers Carolyn being warm and easy going. We wouldn't go on our first date until June of that summer when Carolyn invited Mabeth to the Pittsburgh Pirates game with a group of friends. We spent almost every weekend together for that entire summer and by our one year anniversary we had moved in together in Pittsburgh. A lot has happened between then and now from graduating with our Master's degrees, starting and changing jobs, adopting Marcelo, traveling to three different countries and seven states, moving to Denver, CO and now getting married! Whether we are watching a movie on the couch, taking Marcelo for a walk, getting ice cream, trying out a new restaurant, navigating an airport or sitting in the car for an 8+ hour drive we always have a great time with each other. Nos conocimos por primera vez en Zoom en el otoño de 2020 durante un evento de bienvenida para las cohortes de MHA y MHP en Pittsburgh. Unos meses después, tuvimos la oportunidad de vernos en persona por primera vez en el campus de Pitt, en un evento de bienvenida. Estuvimos allí unos diez minutos antes de ir a Mario's en Oakland para tomarnos algo y comer pizza con el resto de nuestros compañeros. Carolyn recuerda que Mabeth era muy encantador y gracioso. Mabeth recuerda que Carolyn era carismática y tranquila. No tuvimos nuestra primera cita hasta junio de ese verano, cuando Carolyn invitó a Mabeth a un juego de los Pittsburgh Pirates con un grupo de amigos. Pasamos casi todos los fines de semanas juntos durante todo ese verano y, para nuestro primer aniversario, ya vivíamos juntos en Pittsburgh. Han pasado muchas cosas desde entonces: nos graduamos con nuestros títulos de maestría, comenzamos y cambiamos de trabajo, adoptamos ha Marcelo, viajamos a tres países diferentes y siete estados, nos mudamos a Denver, Colorado y ahora nos vamos a casar! Ya sea viendo una película en el sofá, caminado con Marcelo, comiendo helado, probando un restaurante nuevo, navegando un aeropuerto o sentados en el coche durante un viaje de más de ocho horas, siempre lo pasamos increíble!
