Flying In
We suggest flying into one of these nearby airports: - Bangor Airport (1hr drive) - Portland Jetport (3hr drive) - Boston Logan Airport (5hr drive) - Bar Harbor Airport (20min drive) While we suggest renting a car and driving from one of the airports above, it is also possible to take a taxi from the Bangor Airport to Southwest Harbor. Many taxi companies will allow passengers to book a ride in advance, which we recommended doing.
Travel Note
Transportation
We recommend renting a car during your trip so you can easily explore Acadia National Park and Mount Desert Island. Ride sharing services are not available and taxis can be unreliable. On the wedding day, we will provide transportation between downtown Southwest Harbor and the venue. The shuttle ride is under 5 minutes. Exact pickup locations TBD. Please note - you will NOT be able to park at the wedding venue. Closest parking is a half mile down the road. If you plan to stay outside of Southwest Harbor or in bordering towns, please arrange your own transportation.
