Our favorite place for pork nachos, and excellent burgers. **First date spot, too! (There's also one up on the north side of town in Carmel.)
Newfields (formerly known as the Indianapolis Museum of Art) is a favorite spot for both their indoor art collection, and their beautiful outside grounds and historic Lilly House.
Is a trip to Indy complete without a visit to the home of the Indy 500?
We're a bit biased, but if you're looking for a breakfast or lunch spot, this is a great one!
The Monon Trail is the remnant of an old railway that ran northward out of Indianapolis that has been turned into a walking and biking greenway. The stretch located in the Broadripple area of Indy is particularly fun to walk and has lots of restaurants and shops nearby.
The Indy Cultural Trail is a network of paths that runs through the downtown area of the city, with bike rental stations located at frequent intervals. Go to the website to secure a bike with your mobile phone. PRO TIP: Returning and immediately re-renting bikes prevents incurring larger fees for greater than 30 minute usage. We've done it before.
If dessert is your game (and it is ours), then you can't miss the Cake Bake shop. It has all things sugary including cookies, cake, and macarons.
This is a fun street full of bars, shops, restaurants, and some one of a kind artwork.
You don't have to be a kid to love this interactive and informative place. But it does a great job at keeping them busy!
A fun museum about the American West.
Eagle Creek is a large, beautiful park located on the outskirts of the city with plenty of gorgeous fall hikes and views.
It's been a while since either of us have been here, but they've done some pretty extensive renovations recently (added an orangutan enclosure!) that look like so much fun!
