We first met as summer camp counselors at Camp Ondessonk. We really got to know each other in the summer of 2016 when Carolyn was working in handicrafts and Jack was working in the horse stables. Jack would always make sure to take the Friday morning feeding duty so he could stop and talk with Carolyn, who was always finishing up that week's tie-dye project. That was the last summer we worked together, but, as luck would have it, we reconnected on a New Years trip to a tiny town in Michigan. After the trip to Glennie, MI, we started dating in February 2020! Carolyn was finishing school in Boston and Jack was working in Knoxville. By another stroke of luck, a budget airline started a cheap, direct flight from Boston to Knoxville that very month. Flights and travel were a mainstay through the next few years of our relationship, until Jack moved to Hartford in 2022. Finally living near each other, we got a cat named Juno, bought a cute old house where Jack can still see corn out of the window, and are excited to grow our wonderful life together in our little corner of New England!
