Travel Note
Dorset and Manchester are popular summer destinations and hotels fill up quickly, and so we encourage you to reserve accommodations as soon as possible, whether it be a hotel/motel or Airbnb. Please note that there are no Uber/Lyfts in the area, but we will be providing a shuttle to/from the events in Dorset and select Manchester hotels (Palmer House, Hampton Inn, Rest - A Modern Motel, Kimpton Taconic Hotel, Reluctant Panther, and Equinox Resort). The Dorset Inn is walking distance from both the ceremony location and reception location. The ceremony and reception in Dorset are located .4 miles apart. The shuttle schedule will be posted on this page closer to the date.

For your convenience, we have reserved a block of rooms at this boutique motel. To participate in the block, please call to reserve a room no later than May 14, 2024, and reference the Gilbert/Kelley Wedding to receive a discounted room rate.

We have also reserved rooms at the Hampton Inn and Suites, which is walking distance from the center of Manchester's shopping area. In addition to the two blocks described above, other attractive options may include the EconoLodge, Rest - a Modern Motel, Toll Road Inn, Kimpton Taconic Hotel, The Reluctant Panther Inn, The Equinox Resort, and The Dorset Inn. Each of these accommodations will be on the wedding shuttle's route on Saturday, except the Dorset Inn, which is 200 yards from the ceremony location and .4 miles (a 10 min walk) from the reception. Travel Note
A small area for tent camping will be available for guests on Saturday night. It will be near the Cottage, the white clapboard house that is between the Corner (where the reception will be) and the pond. Guests who would like to camp should bring their own camping equipment and drinking water. Restrooms will be available, but not showers. Guests who are camping can leave their cars in the designated parking area between the pond and the Cottage. Look for the signs that will lead you behind the large group of lilac bushes. Tents can be set up there beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday. If you intend to camp, please let us know in advance at carolynandhughvt@gmail.com. Fires are not permitted.

Dorset is 1 hr 45 minutes from Albany Airport, 1 hr and 20 minutes from Albany-Rensselaer Train Station, 2 hr 30 minutes from Connecticut's Bradley Airport, 3 hr 15 minutes from Boston's Logan Airport, 4 hours' drive from LaGuardia and JFK airports in NYC. There is no Uber or Lyft in this area.
