Ramon's Village is located on an island of Belize called Ambergris Caye. It is about 90 min ferry ride from the airport. Ambergris Caye is the most desirable places to visit in Belize! Known for it's white sand beaches and lush greenery. You will not be disappointed!

What kind of currency is used in Belize?
Answer
The currency of Belize is the Belize dollar (BZD). Belize currency exchange is extremely easy for American visitors as the Belize dollar is locked at $2 Belize = $1 USD. Most accommodations, restaurants, and shops are listed in US prices. You won't have any issues using the US dollar in Belize!

Yes, Ambergris Caye is globally known and considered a safe place to visit, especially compared to other parts of Belize. Ambergris Caye is a popular tourist destination and is protected from other parts of Belize. Graham and I have visited Belize in 2023 and felt incredibly safe on Ambergris Caye!

How do you get around on the island?
Answer
Golf carts!! :) You can rent a golf cart as soon as you exit the ferry as there are NO cars on the island making traveling much more intimate and fun! We loved our golf cart and it was relatively cheap too!

Is Ambergris Caye expensive?
Answer
Ambergris Caye is not expensive for American tourists, however it is considered one of the more "expensive" parts of Belize due to it's high tourism. There are great luxury resorts there which can be somewhat pricey but we will be staying at Ramon's Village which has discounted your room price with our wedding code: Lukas Wedding! :)

What is Belize known for?

The Belize Barrier Reef is the second-largest barrier reef in the world, after the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. It's also known as the Mesoamerican Reef System. This reef system stretches along the Caribbean coast of Belize, and is also found in Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras. Due to this amazing reef, Ambergris Caye has one of the best diving, scuba, snorkeling, and fishing sites in the world! Our resort in particular is considered one of the best diving resorts in all of Belize!

Can our kids come to the wedding?

YES! We want this to be a family vacation for you and your family! Our kids will be there and would love more play partners. The resort is reserved for the entire week for our family so please feel to bring your family. If you want to have a vacation from your kids, that's fine too! You're more than welcome to come with your spouse. :)

Are there Airbnb options available?
Answer
Yes, there are several Airbnb options available around Ramon's village that you can inquire about. However, we highly encourage you to stay with us at Ramon's village since the discounted price is so incredibly affordable (as low as $1,300 for the week). The benefits of staying on the resort with us outweigh an Airbnb in our opinion. We will all be together and you will have much easier access to all the festivities planned!
