The ceremony will be in Yanchep National Park, just outside Yanchep Inn. Canapes will follow at the Inn itself. A reception will be held in the nearby Cabaret Cave.
The venue provides free shuttles for our guests, so you can get from the ceremony area to reception area and back without worry! Parking is available at the ceremony location.
The event is semi-formal. We are expecting warm weather in the mid-20C range. It will (hopefully) be sunny, with an outdoor ceremony, so wear sun protection! Don't wear a wedding dress, that option is taken already.
The best thing you can bring is yourself! We are so excited to see you and celebrate with you. If you wish to bring more, our top priority as newlyweds will be fixing up our fixer-upper home. We will have a wishing well at the venue to contribute to our home renovations. Thank you in advance!
At the time of planning, we anticipated a fairly even number of Canadian and Australian guests and were unable to find a registry that would reliably work from both countries. If you wish to contribute, we would be very grateful for anything that would assist us in developing our new home. This could include gift cards to homewares shops (Myer, David Jones, Ikea, Bed Bath n Table), renovation shops (Bunnings), direct contributions, or anything you think would assist a couple starting a new home journey. We are excited to celebrate with you and so thankful to those who wish to bring something!
Yes! Please see the "Travel" page for more information.
No! We'd love to spend time with the people who have come to see us. We are happy to show you around Perth after the wedding, we have both taken time off work to do so.
Unfortunately, no. Originally, we wanted to be able to have a reception in both places, but we just can't make it work, logistically. If you're not able to celebrate with us in Australia, we completely understand, and look forward to celebrating with you one-on-one sometime in the future.
If you've never been before, there's heaps to do in and around Perth! More to come in the "Things To Do" section.
No, please buy sunscreen in Australia! The SPF ratings are different in different parts of the world, and you will be much less likely to burn if you buy it here.
We HIGHLY recommend looking into Australian import restrictions prior to entering the country. The restrictions are taken very seriously and the last thing you want is to face a fine or loss of items that you thought would be okay.
Air Canada has a Toronto to Sydney flight through Vancouver. Honestly, though, we've done heaps of long-stopovers and seen some great sights along the way! There's no quick way, but there are plenty of fun ones.
We love your whole family, but this event will be 16+ and invite-only. Thank you for understanding.
