How small is our world, and how funny is the Lord? Sometimes the best things are right in front of you the whole time, but you just don’t realize it until the Lord is ready for you to. Some may not know this, but Jacob and I have actually known each other for years. Our parents went to school together, we grew up around the same people, and even went on one date in high school. I still remember nervously hopping into his truck in the Tullahoma baseball parking lot before our “date” turned into a trip to Kroger to buy candy for my best friend Kennedy because she wasn’t feeling well. After that, life took us in different directions — me to the The University of Alabama and Jacob to University of Tennessee at Martin to play golf. Years later, after we had both moved back home, the Lord brought us back together at a mutual friend’s house. The rest is history. It’s funny how the best things can be right in front of you all along, but you just have to trust God’s timing. When you know, you know, and His plans are always greater than our own.
