3500 Mormon Mill Burnet, TX 78611
The ceremony will take place on top of a hill and will require a five minute walk up a rocky path to the summit. Due to the uneven nature of the hill, there will be very little seating and most everyone will have to stand. We strongly suggest you wear shoes in which you are able to walk over uneven ground and stand comfortably for thirty minutes. Otherwise, dress for whatever the fickle Texas weather can throw at you. The ceremony and reception will both be outside in a relaxed environment - no black-tie requirements here!
The five minute walk is rocky and entirely up hill but the view is completely worth it. The path consists of large gravel and so some caution needs to be taken as not to trip or roll your ankle. Good footwear is very important. Heels are strongly discouraged, but please wear whatever footwear would be most comfortable.
For those who are nervous about the walk, an ATV will shuttle people from the parking area to the top of the hill. If you would feel most comfortable not going up to the ceremony site, please feel free to hang out at the reception area in front of the ranch house, and celebrate with us after the ceremony. From there, you will have a long-distance view of the wedding ceremony and a great table at the reception!
This will be a Methodist wedding, so we will keep it short! That being said, there will be a limited amount of seating for people who need to rest. Please let us know if you are concerned about standing, and we will make sure to save you a seat.
The first shuttle will leave for the wedding at 3:30 p.m. The shuttle will return for a second and final round of guest at approximately 4 p.m. During the reception the shuttle will return to the Best Western on demand with the last bus leaving the reception at 10 p.m.
We will have plenty of parking space at the ranch so feel free to drive yourself. Please keep in mind though that Uber and Lyft are not available in Burnet. Cam and Carolyn want everyone to have fun and get home safely!
