Lauren and Noah met at work when they both happened to be at the same location because of a large event. Throughout the day they would see each other in passing but were both too busy to stop and have conversation beyond small talk. They were both interested in each other but it wasn’t the time or the place to make a move. In the days to follow they kept thinking of each other and eventually Noah reached out and asked Lauren out on a date. Lauren had decided that she wanted to stay single for a little while longer but becaue Noah asked her out so directly she couldn’t help but say yes. On their first date they went to the Georgia Aquarium and then to dinner and spent around 4 hours together. Neither of them wanted the date to end but knew that there would be many more to come. They went on their second date a few days later and then a third and a fourth and a... you get the picture. Ever since that first date Lauren and Noah have been inseparable and they are so incredibly grateful that God brought them together at the perfect time.
Sometimes things don’t always go how you plan. Noah had planned to propose a weekend earlier and even got Lauren’s family to come to town for the event and had a plan laid out for how he would finally pop the question. But.... the ring wasnt ready when the jewelry store originally estimated so it was on to plan B. While Lauren’s family was in town they went to the mall and Noah bought Lauren her first pair of hiking boots so she wouldnt have an excuse to back out of the hike they had planned for the following weekend. Lauren and Noah drove up to a nearby town, Cleveland, to hike Yonah Mountain. At this point Lauren was highly suspicious that a proposal was coming and even did her hair and makeup for the hike just in case. About halfway up the mountain there is an army training camp with a lot of big trees so Lauren and Noah stopped to set up their hammocks. While Lauren had her back turned trying to hang her hammock Noah came up behind her and said “Hey... I love you.” When Lauren turned around Noah got down on one knee and asked Lauren if she would marry him. Without hesitation she said yes and then informed him that he wouldve been in trouble if he dragged her on a hike and didnt propose.
