Will and Caroline Grace’s story began like a classic rom-com: with a blind date arranged by CG's bible study leader, Julia and Will's sister, Katy. Come to find out, there were several people who were absolutely convinced they should meet. At one point along the way, Will told Caroline Grace he loved her. CG, demonstrating great caution and excellent timing, decided to take a few weeks to think about it. She finally returned the sentiment at a Shane Smith and the Saints concert during the song “Oklahoma City.” She knew that he was the man God had so delicately placed in her life to be her husband. Will proposed on New Year’s Day in CG’s home state, at the highest point in Alabama atop Mount Cheaha, with the help of her oldest brother Garrett, his wife Erin and their boys Will & Ben, who are so excited to officially have “Uncle Will” as part of the family. Will and CG spend fall Saturdays cheering on the Oklahoma Sooners, and the rest of the year sampling wine and working on their golf swings. At the heart of their life together is their Catholic faith and their most handsome and sweet dog, Tank. Anyone who knows them knows that Tank is essentially their child—and there is strong evidence to suggest that Will may be marrying Caroline Grace partly for the dog. A New Year’s Eve wedding felt like the obvious choice. Will and CG love hosting friends and family and it was only fitting that their wedding day reflect the things they love most: great company, great wine, great cocktails, and a celebration worthy of ringing in a brand new year together. 🥂
