The bar atop Beech Mountain - it is a frequently visited spot for us! Take the chairlift from the base or hike up if you're feeling a challenge! You can enjoy a drink from the full bar, grab a bite from the food stand, and enjoy the views! There's often live music on Saturdays.
In summer, the ski mountain hosts mountain biking, hiking, disc golf, yoga, and a mountain top bar with live music.
We love the Emerald Outback Trail system. Grandfather Mountain State Park is a great hike if you have the time and are up to the challenge! Elk River Falls in a short but beautiful hike.
