If you are flying, Estes Park is about a 1.5 hour drive from the Denver airport. Your best bet will be to rent a car, coordinate a ride with someone else renting a car, or take the Estes Park Shuttle from the airport to your hotel/Airbnb (https://www.estesparkshuttle.com)
Since parking at the venue is limited, we have booked a party bus shuttle to take some guests to and from the venue. Anyone is welcome to take this shuttle. We will inquire with all guests about interest closer to the wedding day. Uber/Lyft are NOT reliable in Estes Park. Another option is Explore Estes, a ride service that you could book in advance (https://exploreestes.com/estes-park-ride-service/)
There are about 20 parking spaces at the wedding venue, and signs at the entrance to the property will guide you to the right place. There is an additional smaller overflow lot at the entrance to the property that you can park at and walk uphill to the venue. We ask that you consider carpooling if you are not taking the shuttle. Please do not park in any of the labeled reserved spots for hotel guests.
We are requesting guests wear semi-formal/cocktail attire. The ceremony and reception will take place indoors, but cocktail hour will take place outside (weather permitting). Estes Park in September has an average high in the mid 60s, with temperatures dropping to the 40s at night
Please check out the travel tab on our website. There is a list of hotels recommended by the venue and there are many Airbnb/VRBO options in Estes Park as well. September is a popular time to visit Estes Park, so we would recommend booking early!
Sure do! Check out this spreadsheet of some hikes we recommend. There are hikes for all abilities. You can also check out Alltrails.com for more. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10NFjB2nxtTD70KvrIMIRQV56vyfP5AZOiD2PYWwafnI/edit?usp=sharing
Please be sure to be familiar with the timed entry permit system if you plan to visit Rocky Mountain National Park. Permits for September are going to be released August 1 at 8 AM Mountain Time, and permits go QUICK. Additionally, a smaller amount of permits are released the night before every day at 7 PM. If you are not able to secure a timed entry permit, you can always enter the park before or after the timed entry window.
