When Steven began managing the Gold's Gym location that John belonged to in 2017, their friendship started with quick daily greetings that eventually turned into laps around the club discussing anything and everything. As Steven moved on to a different Gold's location, he convinced John to join the fitness industry, and the two have worked closely together ever since. Outside of work, John has probably spent more time with Steven and Caroline together than anyone, and constantly adds humor and support whenever either needs it!

Scrolling through Caroline or Samar's phone, you'll see that they mostly communicate via TikTok videos and Twitter memes. Their weird sense of humor has made them inseparable since meeting at the University of Maryland!

Even though they grew up less than a mile apart, Steven and Alex didn't meet until high school, where they took business and statistics classes together. As Alex began attending Penn State at its main campus and Steven started at a campus closer to home, Alex graciously hosted weekend visits, and became Steven's closest friend once they were both in State College, PA for their junior and senior years. With road trips home and back, late-night meals at Sheetz, and hundreds of games of NHL14/15 played, the two were nearly inseparable, and have continued to connect for NHL games, comedy shows, and other adventures post-college.

Lauren and Caroline crossed paths through her group fitness classes at Gold's Gym, where Lauren was always a front-row participant. They finally started getting together outside of the gym studio in 2017 and discovered a mutual love for nutrition, balanced health, and training for Spartan races!
Ryan Prather

As Steven transitioned into health club management, he was initially weary that his new team would have a tough time getting behind a rookie, at times painfully introverted, General Manager. He was lucky to be paired with Ryan, a hard-working, life-of-the-party Fitness Manager who forced Steven out of his shell every day to become a better leader and to make better decisions, while also having a good time. Ryan became one of Steven's first good friends in Maryland, a must-have for any parties, and even Caroline's personal trainer!

From Gold's Gym Layhill to Barry's D.C. to Explosive Performance, Helen and Caroline immediately bonded over a love for fitness upon meeting in 2016. Although they're typically spotted training together at the gym, they also enjoy putting on something other than workout clothes and having a night out at Cooper's Hawk!

Frank and Steven attended the same elementary, middle, and high schools, and their friendship kicked off in the fifth grade with a winter variation of "Kill the man with the ball" that involved tackling the person who was surfing downhill on a sled. For years afterward, the two played a bit of almost every sport together, made regular trips to Johnny's Pizza for wings and crab fries, and created a weekly full-contact mini-hockey tradition throughout high school that often had a waiting list to join.

Maddox was born while Steven and John worked together at Gold's Gym. Since then, there have been plenty of dog walks (he used to call Gizmo "Gammas"), summer days at the pool, trips to the zoo, and dance parties, where Maddox always takes center stage!

Tyler is the only son of Steven's older sister, Heather, making him Steven's favorite nephew! He enjoys playing with Steven's old dinosaur and firetruck toys, and will be the recipient of years of ice hockey lessons from Steven starting soon.

Steven and Caroline met Brad through a mutual friend who discovered they were neighbors! Brad, his wife, Michele, and their pup Annabel now join Gizmo and his family for morning walks multiple times throughout the week, which always turn into hilarious adventures. Steven and Caroline are so grateful for their friendship and guidance over the past two years, and cannot wait for Bradley Brad to officiate their wedding.
