We're Getting Married!

It all began in high school, during Stephen’s sophomore year and Caroline’s junior year, when we found ourselves in the same basic chemistry class. The teacher initially sat Caroline between Stephen and his twin brother, Ethan—that’s how we first met. No matter how often the seating chart changed, Caroline always seemed to end up near the twins, giving her plenty of time to get to know them. During that time, Stephen’s feelings for Caroline began to grow, but it wasn’t until years later that our story truly began. Caroline graduated in 2020, and life took us in different directions. We both moved on, dated other people, and pursued our own paths. Then, in 2022, Caroline’s previous relationship ended, and Stephen saw an opportunity. During a college trip to Boone in December, we started reconnecting. A few months later, in April 2023, we both led at D-Now, where Stephen used the weekend to share the gospel but also as another chance to spend more time with Caroline. Then came Easter break. On Wednesday, April 5th, Stephen planned to ask Caroline out in person but lost his nerve at the last moment. Instead, he sent her a message on Discord. Caught off guard, Caroline turned him down. But as the weekend went on, she couldn’t stop thinking about it—and started to regret her decision. On Easter Sunday, April 9th, she reached out and asked to meet up the next day. That Monday, we talked for hours and immediately hit it off. By Wednesday, Caroline was telling her parents that she might have just met her future husband. Our second date was on Thursday, April 13th, and by our third date on Saturday, April 15th, we made it official. Fast forward to Sunday, November 24th, 2024—Stephen got down on one knee (after tripping in the process 😉 ), and Caroline said YES! We can't wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you!
