From the father of the bride: Below are the distilleries I would recommend with the closest proximity to Maysville. All four are close to one another with incomparable scenery of horse farms surrounding the Lexington area. The driving is simple and and uncongested, about 50 minutes from Louisville, 1 hour from from the Cincinnati airport, and 1 hour 45 minutes from Maysville. All distilleries are 15-30 minutes apart. Buffalo Trace: Frankfort, KY (a favorite) Woodford Reserve: Versailles, KY Four Roses, Lawrenceburg, KY Wild Turkey, Lawrenceburg, KY Early October is prime time for visiting distilleries, so I would recommend making reservations early. If you’d rather not do the driving, consider a custom group tour via Mint Julep Tours. On your own, I would recommend visiting two each day, or possibly three. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have. All would be a memorable experience and all are different. Paul Pogue 812-431-6363 pkpogue@gmail.com Cheers!
