One day before Caroline’s 16th birthday in March 2013, Caroline agreed to go on an “almost blind date” to the movies with Shaun after having been setup by mutual friends. Fast forward exactly one year to the day later, Shaun asked Caroline out again and they started dating their junior year of high school. Prom, senior week, and many dates later, Caroline and Shaun then went to separate universities and spent many weekends on long drives and SEPTA train rides to visit each other. After college, they discussed taking next steps to be together more, and when Caroline’s work called for a move to Harrisburg, Shaun soon followed her. Exactly 10 and a half years since first meeting, Shaun surprised Caroline and proposed on Labor Day weekend at sunset at Cove Beach in West Cape May with family and friends waiting to celebrate the happy couple.
