Flying We recommend flying into Charleston International Airport and then driving to Kiawah island. The Charleston airport is ~45 minutes away from the island and the airport has both rental cars and rideshare access. If you plan to drive, you will need a parking pass, please call the concierge at (843) 768-2790. Kiawah Island resort offers car services. Reservation numbers based on your stay are listed below: -For guests staying in villas and homes, please call 843.768.2790. -For guests staying in The Sanctuary, please call 877.683.1234. -Group transportation is also available: please call 843.768.6039. Accessing the Island If you rented a place on the island, you will need to provide proof of stay to enter the first gate once you get to Kiawah. After arriving through the gates, you can check in and pick up keys and resort cards at the Villa Check in located at: 1 Vacation Way, Kiawah Island, SC 29455 If you are staying at the Sanctuary, you will need to provide proof of stay to enter the gate and then can go directly to the hotel for check in and to pick up your room key and resort card. If you are staying at the Andell Inn at Freshfields village, you can go directly to the hotel and pick up your room key!

Most activities are within walking distance on Kiawah island, and we definitely recommend renting a bike for your stay. It is one of our favorite ways to explore the island and bop around from the tennis courts, to the golf courts, then to the beach, and maybe an ice cream at the Sanctuary! For all guests staying through Kiawah Island Resort there is also a complimentary door-to-door transportation to any resort restaurant or amenity across the 10-mile barrier island. You can call to reservice using extension 82900 to request a complimentary ride. Please allow 15-20 minutes for service. The shuttle service ends at 11PM. The shuttles can be used for transportation to and from all wedding events 😊
