We met just by chance at my family's lake house during Spring Break, but parted ways to finish the end of Law School and PT school. We were reunited at his Law School graduation after 8 weeks of occasionally chatting on Facebook. A week and a half later we went on our first date and wound up at Stuttgarden. We came in second place at trivia while drinking some beers and splitting a pretzel. The Zegeinbock growler we won that nights sits on our shelves and the rest is history.

Rhys did great with his sneaky planning. We went to dinner the night before and he had this long story all about a client that was having a huge issue that he was able to get cleared up for him the same day. As a thank you, the client offered him and a guest a free helicopter ride in Galveston as he owned a company. Rhys gets random work perks, so it wasn't completely crazy. We went on a great ride over Galveston and got to see even more of the city than when we went Sky Diving. When we landed, I was just standing there waiting for someone to lead us back to the lobby. When I finally realized I was supposed to go around on my own, Rhys got down on one knee. I gave him a yes and he told me to turn and smile. He had two of our friends hidden taking pictures with my camera. Very impressive planning and sneaking on his part for the perfect surprise.
