What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive about 15 minutes before the official ceremony start time so you can get settled in before the proceedings.

Will the welcome party, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The welcome party will be held inside of a restaurant. The ceremony will take place outside. Cocktail hour will be inside the house as well as on the front lawn. The reception will be held under an open-air tent with a nice breeze coming in from the Ashley River. Special measures will be taken to keep guests cool, such as fans, umbrellas, etc. Guests are welcome to step inside the house for A/C anytime after the ceremony.

What is the wedding attire?

Answer

Please dress in cocktail attire. It’s a small step above semi-formal, though not as formal as black-tie optional or black-tie. Go for a balance between elegant and comfortable. Women should opt for a tea-length, knee-length, midi dress, or a fun maxi dress. Men are requested to wear a suit and tie. SPECIAL NOTE TO THE LADIES: Be mindful of what heel you feel comfortable wearing on the grassy front lawn of Lowndes Grove where the ceremony will be held.

What is the welcome party attire?

Answer

Dressy casual/semi-formal attire is requested. Semiformal gives you flexibility on comfort without being too casual. Women are welcome to wear dresses or a dressy skirt and top. Men can go for a dress shirt and slacks with the option to wear a tie.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

Answer

We kindly ask that you please refrain from taking pictures during the ceremony in an effort to keep phones out of the photographer's way. Guests are welcome to take as many pictures as they please following the ceremony and are encouraged to post them on social media so the bride and groom can see all of the fun memories everyone makes!
