Will You Have a Cookie Table?

Answer

Yes!! For those wondering, a cookie table is a western Pennsylvanian tradition in which the family and guests bring cookies for everyone to enjoy. Please consider bringing your favorite cookies, whether you make them yourself or buy them from your favorite store. There is no obligation to bring cookies, there will be plenty of cake and cookies to go around! If you do bring cookies, please bring them in a disposable container and note if they contain nuts and/or are gluten free.

When do I have to book my room in the room block?

Answer

If you wish to book a room at the wedding hotel, please do so by Sunday, October 12th. The room block will close the day after.

When Should I Arrive at the venue? When does the Ceremony start?

Answer

Please plan to arrive at the venue at 5pm. Light refreshments will be available. The ceremony should start promptly at 5:30pm.

What is the schedule for the shuttles? Can anyone take the shuttles or only those staying at the hotel?

Answer

The schedule for the shuttles is as follows: - 4:30pm - Depart from DoubleTree by Hilton Charlottesville - 10:00pm - First shuttle departs the wedding venue to head back to the hotel - 11:00pm - Second shuttle departs the wedding venue to head back to the hotel as the reception ends and the wind down hour begins - Midnight - Final shuttle departs the wedding venue for the hotel as the evening ends. Anyone can take the shuttle whether you are staying at the hotel or not! This is a good option if you are staying near the hotel, if you'd like to leave your car at the venue overnight and retrieve it in the morning, or if you'd like to take an uber/lyft from the hotel to your AirBnB.

Will there be assigned seating for the reception?

Answer

Yes! Not only will you be assigned a table, you will be assigned a seat! This ensures that the meal everyone receives complies with their pre-identified dietary restrictions. Please do not change seats with anyone!

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

While we love all the little ones in our life, the celebration is an adults-only event. Thank you for arranging childcare and making the effort to celebrate with us!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unless your invitation indicates a plus one, please do not bring a date.

What should I wear to your wedding?

Answer

Formal cocktail attire. Weather permitting, our ceremony will be on grass, so be mindful of heels, or any shoe that might sink into grass.

Answer

Nope! At least not right now. :)
