At 16 years old, Caroline and Parker first met in the most romantic setting possible – high school Spanish class. While Parker was busy crushing every test, Caroline was busy developing a serious crush, one that she told everyone, except Parker, about. Eventually, the news made its way from the swim locker room to Parker’s sister Peyton, who then shared this “classifed information” with her brother. As the result of this newfound encouragement, Parker asked Caroline to study with him for their upcoming AP US History exam, and the rest is, well, history! From there, amongst other things, Parker served as Caroline’s escort to winter formal, senior prom and nine sorority dances. During this time, Parker mastered his signature “hand in pocket” pose for photos, and Caroline perfected the delicate art of keeping Parker on the dance floor all night – both skills necessary for their big day! After four years of dating long-distance during college, they are grateful to be home together in Iowa with their families.
