We are so excited to welcome you to Dallas! We compiled a short list of some of our favorite things to do and places to eat. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.
The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden
8525 Garland Road, Dallas, TX 75218
The arboretum is beautiful year-round. We like to go here for concerts on the lawn.
Highland Park Village
47 Highland Park Village, Dallas, TX 75205
Highland Park Village is a great hang out spot during the day. You can window shop or pop up to the rooftop at Mi Cocina for a mambo taxi (or two)!
George W. Bush Presidential Center
2943 SMU Boulevard, Dallas, TX 75205
The George Bush Museum is interactive and a great history lesson for all ages.
Bubba's Cooks Country - Dallas
6617 Hillcrest Avenue, Dallas, TX 75205
Caroline grew up on Bubbas. The staff calls her dad "cinnamon roll steve", so if you go for breakfast, don't pass up the cinnamon roll and sausage. The fried chicken and mashed potatoes are a favorite for lunch or dinner.
Shug's Bagels
3020 Mockingbird Lane, Dallas, TX 75205
You can't go wrong with anything on the menu at Shugs. Just be sure to place your order online ahead of time (can be a 1-2 hour wait on the weekends, but well worth it).
E Bar Tex-Mex
1901 North Haskell Avenue, Dallas, TX 75204
You can't come to Texas and not get some good, greasy Tex-Mex. This is one of our favs!
