Off the Record
Located right in the basement of the Hay Adams Hotel, Off The Record was chosen by Forbes.com as one of the "World's Best Hotel Bars". Locally it is known as downtown Washington, D.C.'s best "place to be seen and not heard." Surrounded by caricatures of the city's political elite both past and present, Off the Record is a popular place for Washingtonians and guests of The Hay-Adams to relax.
Smithsonian Museums
DC has lots of great (and free!) Smithsonian museums to visit during your stay, including the Natural History Museum, Air and Space Museum, and the Portrait Gallery.
Monuments on the National Mall
Take in the views of DC with a walk along the National Mall! Along the Mall are the iconic Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, the World War II Memorial, among others.
Georgetown Shopping & Dining
There are lots of great shops and restaurants in the Georgetown neighborhood of DC. Some of our favorite Georgetown restaurants are Fiola Mare (upscale dining), Baked & Wired (bakery), and the Ritz Georgetown lobby bar.
