It all started in 2019, when I (very nervously) started a new job as a Commercial Property NATCAT Adjuster at Nationwide Insurance—yes, it’s as intense as it sounds. Mike was the trainer assigned to help me, and let’s just say... I didn’t know the difference between a shingle and a shed. Luckily, he was patient (and cute), and I was his last training class before he packed up and headed to South Florida for a new job and a fresh start. I stayed in Columbus, and we kept in touch here and there. Fast forward to 2020—curious about life in the South, I moved to Charleston, SC. Then in October 2021, Mike flew me down to Florida for a visit... and well, the rest is history. After a couple of years of long-distance love, I moved in with him in early 2024. One year, a few hurricanes, and countless beach days later, we got engaged in February 2025!
