Lander had asked me to take a Saturday off of work (which he NEVER does) so we could celebrate his new job. I figured we probably would just be doing yard work around his house, which is what we had done for the last couple of weekends. Lander told me that his brother Harrison wanted to get brunch at a nicer restaurant here in Charlotte on Saturday morning. We were on our way to East Blvd here when Harrison called and said he was running late. Lander suggested we go to Freedom park and walk around to kill some time. Funny enough that is where we had our first date, where we walked around for 3+ hrs getting to know each other. We go to the park a lot so I did not really think anything of it. We get there and are talking about work and everything else. He starts to kind of walk behind me at one point and then pulls me over to the grass with a look in his eye. In that moment I knew what was going on. He gets down on a knee and I completely lose control I back up and he asks the question. I cannot speak I just shake my head in excitement. I don't think I have stopped smiling since. My sweet friends (Lindsay and Perry) popped out from behind the bushes taking pictures. If you know me you know that I of course did not have my nails done. So my sweet fiancé took me straight to a nail salon to get them painted. We headed to my hometown where our parents and grandparents met us for a sweet little celebration.
