Let's Celebrate!

On Sunday, August 10, Jack and Caroline enjoyed dinner at their favorite Italian spot by the beach, Terra Nostra. During dinner, a few familiar faces walked into the restaurant, including Jack’s aunt and uncle who happened to live nearby. Caroline didn’t think much of it at the time, and after finishing their meal and saying hello, the couple headed to their next destination. When they arrived at the Sanibel Lighthouse, Caroline glanced at the license plates in the parking lot, curious if any belonged to her family—but none looked familiar. As they strolled toward the lighthouse, chatting about how delicious dinner had been, Jack suddenly dropped to one knee just as Caroline was admiring the Lighthouse. In that moment, Caroline realized someone must be nearby to capture it, but all she could focus on was saying “yes.” Moments later, her sister emerged from the parking lot, camera in hand, ready to capture their engagement and share in the joy of such a treasured moment.

After Jack proposed, there was still one more surprise in store. The newly engaged couple said goodbye to their photographer and got into the car, heading to their next destination. As they drove, Caroline asked excitedly, “Are we going to see family?” Jack kept quiet, not wanting to spoil the surprise. Their journey led them to the Lighthouse Restaurant, where dessert awaited—and so did their loved ones. Jack had arranged for his fiancée’s parents and sister, along with his own mother, brother, and several aunts and uncles, to be there to celebrate. It was a heartfelt gathering that made the night even more unforgettable.
