One of our favorite things to do together is to hike or trail run. There are so many great trails around here! Check out this link for a list of suggestions of where to see fall colors. While some of the leaves will have fallen by mid-November, it'll still be beautiful out. Get out there!
You can't visit Chattanooga without taking a stroll across the iconic Walnut Street Walking Bridge. While you're on the North Shore side, you may as well grab an ice cream at Clumpie's and hit Coolidge Park.
Mean Mug is a beloved local coffee shop with great coffee and amazing biscuit sammies. There's a location on Main St. downtown and another in the Northshore area.
Y'all know we love beer. Odd Story is one of our local faves. We meet here every Wednesday for a community run and beer after. They have great beer and an awesome outdoor space (with heaters) if the weather is nice. This is their newer, larger location.
When we first moved back, the Greenhouse was one of our favorite local spots. Cozy up, grab a board game and a tasty brew, order some tacos, and enjoy!
Joe and I received free tickets once from a volunteer for taking care of a stray cat. It's a really cool experience! I personally love the River experience, as it highlights the amazing biodiversity of the Southeast.
Take a stroll down by the Tennessee River and walk through Coolidge Park. Don't miss dollar rides on the carousel. Then finish your visit off with a stroll across Chattanooga's iconic Walnut Street Walking Bridge.
One of my all time favorite neighborhood bars. Joe and I love to swing by for a bite, drink, and chat with the staff. They have great burgers and a fun, always rotating beer list.
Naked River is an awesome local brewery. If you stick around through the weekend, you can hit this up on Sunday after doing a tour of the Chattanooga Market next door. *Enter your Plate# at their inside kiosk for free 2hr parking.
The Chattanooga Market is open on Sundays from 11a-4p. If you stay through Sunday, it's worth stopping by. You can also enjoy drinks, bites, and live music while you shop. Need I say more?
Simple and tasty food, an awesome patio if it's nice out (plus heaters). It's really cozy inside if it's cold. We love this spot. It's close to Coolidge Park. We usually park on the street behind it.
State of Confusion has great food and drinks, a fun and laid back vibe, and is downtown on South Main and walking distance to The Moxy.
The food is always good. Check it out if you need a reliable spot downtown.
Throw on your sneakers and hit the Riverwalk!
There's plenty to do in the Southside. Check out this link for more ideas.
We can't make a list and not include pizza! There are 2 locations: 1 in the Southside near downtown (parking is a little harder, but it's doable) and 1 on the North Shore side of town (street or side street parking). Dine in, carry-out. They also have a slice + pint special for $5 if you need a quick snack. Also, their garlic cheese bread is money.
Tasty beers and chill vibes. It's located across the street from Odd Story's Greenhouse on MLK, so it sets you up nicely for a mini local beer tour.
Great for breakfast and lunch sandwiches. It's a wait in line at the counter kind of deal, but super tasty with homemade breads.
Great spot for a beer and music (check their calendar) for those that are staying in the St. Elmo area.
