What time should I arrive at the Ceremony

Answer

Ceremony start time is 2 PM at Willard Chapel The Bride & Groom both will be on site well before any guests arrive. We ask that you are seated at least 15 minutes before the ceremony begins!

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

Willard Memorial Chapel is conveniently located off of Routes 5&20, on Seminary Street. There are signs directing you to the historic chapel. From the Chapel, Frog Pond Bed & Breakfast is about a 15 minute drive heading east towards Skaneateles. Head East on Route 20, Turn left onto County Line Road, then a right onto Sheldon Road.

Are the Venues Handicap friendly?

Answer

Yes! Both Willard Chapel & Frog Pond are handicap accessible. Handicap parking at the chapel is located on the north side of the church Please be aware that Frog Pond parking is located down the street and on a dirt road. Guests can be dropped off directly at the venue.

Will the ceremony & reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place indoors. The cocktail hour & reception will take place in a historic carriage barn. While we hope the weather will be a perfect fall day (sunny & in the mid 50s), warm beverages will be served as well as shawls in case anyone is too cold. Temperatures drop quickly once the sun sets! Please check the weather beforehand, as Central NY weather is unpredictable.

Can I take pictures?

Answer

We respectfully ask that you do not use your phones during the ceremony. We have a photographer set for the day and will be happy to share with you any shots that you'd like! As for the reception, go for it! We encourage you to take as many pictures and share them with the Bride & Groom!

What to wear?

Answer

Do you have that outfit that you've been waiting to wear but no place to wear it? Now is the time! Want to wear a ball gown, a historical period piece, lord of the rings recreation costume, or just khakis and a polo? Go for it! We encourage you to wear something different or creative, but of course semi-formal wedding attire is appropriate. Come what you feel most beautiful in ❤️

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Great Question! It could be snowing, down pouring, or the loveliest fall day. In CNY, there's no telling what the weather will do, but best to plan for a mid 40s to 50s day. Be sure to check the weather for Auburn before you come, it changes quickly! The temperature drops quickly at night in October please bring a warm jacket (or your favorite faux fur cape)

What to do after the Ceremony?

Answer

Guests can head to Frog Pond and explore the grounds after the ceremony. Drinks and snacks will be waiting!

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! We will only be serving Wine, Beer, and Hard Cider for the reception. Soft drinks, water, coffee, & hot apple cider will also be served.

Covid-19 safety measures?

Answer

We respectfully ask that if you are feeling unwell, to stay home. Anyone who is not vaccinated will be asked to wear a mask when not seated at their table.
