Thank you so much for visiting our wedding website! We are so glad you are here. Jacob and I would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all of you for you love, support, and friendship. For those of you who are not familiar with our story, the following is a little bit about how we got our start, enjoy! We met (once) through mutual friends while I was attending Randolph-Macon College and Jacob was an assistant football coach there. After I graduated, Jacob reached out to me (with moral support from his groomsman and then fellow coach, Abel Simpson), and I took my sweet time getting back to him (I was worth the wait!). When I finally did, Jacob capitalized on the opportunity and took me on our first date. We then met a few weeks later in Annapolis and decided the long-distance life could work while I was in graduate school. We have been long distance ever since, and although it has been difficult, it has made our relationship and commitment to supporting each other all the stronger. Fast forward to Thanksgiving weekend 2018. Jacob planned a weekend getaway for me in one of our favorite places, Charlottesville. Thanksgiving has special meaning for Jacob and I, because we realized that we loved each other after the first Thanksgiving we spent together. Shortly after arriving to the condo, we went out to the balcony to look at the mountain view. Jacob whispered, “I have a surprise for you”, got down on one knee, and asked me to be his wife! I was very thrown off because he proposed right before the UVA/Tech rivalry game. I thouht for sure that was his main focus at the moment! I squealed and cried and immediately said yes! Since that time, we have (finally) put an end to the long distance life, and have plans for Jacob to relocate to MD in July of this year. We are ecstatic to begin this next chapter of our lives, and we cannot wait to vow to love and support one another in front of God and all of you....and then of course, dance the night away! Cheers!
