ATMAR is a community project for the conservation of the sea turtles in Puerto Rico. The organization was founded by Hector's cousin Luis Crespo in March , 2001. The objective of the organization is to prevent harm to the turtle eggs, hunting of the female turtles, clean the beaches to remove any threat to the nest and baby turtles. The organization also provides education to the community about environmental conservation. A donation can help keep the critically endangered sea turtles safe.
