For those who were told we met at a bar, here’s the true story! At the end of the summer of 2023, Hazen added Caroline on the social media app Snapchat, and that is where their story began. Caroline was hesitant to get to know someone with no mutual friends, but she was willing to give Hazen a chance. After countless phone conversations, the two decided to finally meet in October. Hazen drove to Milledgeville to visit Caroline while she was in college. From that moment on, Hazen and Caroline felt a connection they knew was worth the distance. For the next year and a half, the couple spent countless weekends traveling between Charlotte and Milledgeville. In April of 2025, Hazen proposed to Caroline in Charleston. Since then, the couple has moved to the coast of North Carolina, settling in Wilmington with their sweet fur baby, Chip, who was rescued in August. Caroline and Hazen extend their love to everyone who has been a part of their journey as they prepare to celebrate their next chapter—marriage—in October, surrounded by friends and family.
