Lake Como is located in northern Lombardy, close to the Swiss border and surrounded by the foothills of the Alps, approximately an hour from Milan. The closest major airports to Lake Como are Milan Malpensa (MXP), an approximate 45 minute drive, and Milan Linate (LIN), an approximate 60 minute drive. Taxis, private car services, and trains are all convenient options for reaching Cernobbio and the surrounding towns.
