Our Story
We were lucky enough to meet in college (Go Heels!), more specifically, the chemistry fraternity. We were best friends well before we started dating, making going steady with each other effortless. We spent our time together cooking new foods, binging tv shows (and maybe the Harry Potter movies two or fifteen times), watching late night Vine compilations and going on late night adventures to Walmart and Taco Bell. After college, we moved up to Wisconsin together so Caroline could pursue her PhD. We moved into a cute little home with our perfect pup, Hudson. After an engagement happened and a PhD was successfully obtained (Yay Dr. Hopkins!), we are ready to be married.
Courthouse Wedding turned Backyard Wedding
After being engaged for FOREVER, we are so eager to get married soon that we wanted to do a courthouse wedding. We decided that we could make it more special, zhuzh it up a little, by having it in our backyard with our close friends in Wisconsin. We plan on streaming the ceremony for our friends and family that are farther away. We will celebrate with them later with a big reception next Fall in NC. The only things we ask for is your company on our special day, but totally wouldn't say no if anyone offered to help with setup / takedown. We’re not doing a bridal party for this small wedding, but if anyone wants to give a speech / toast, feel free to reach out because we’d love to hear from y’all.
