The dress code for our wedding is Elegant Whimsy! We're picturing our guests in chic clothes with bright colors and lots of texture. Think: Feathers, sequins, linen, tulle, fringe, seersucker. Any pattern works! Geometric, floral, stripes, polka-dots. Always wanted to wear a feathered headpiece? Now is your chance! Bolo tie and kilt? Go for it! More comfortable in bell bottoms and sneakers? The world is your oyster! At the end of the day, we want to celebrate with you if you wear a floor-length sequined gown, a t-shirt and jeans, or a bathrobe. Don’t stress, just have fun and wear whatever the heck you want! Oh and make sure you’re ready to dance till your feet fall off ;) If you're still confused, feel free to see this link for inspiration! Our wedding will be a one-stop shop! The ceremony, cocktail hour AND the reception will all be within the same location! The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors (weather permitting) so please be prepared to walk on some grass!
RSVP details will be sent in the formal invitations. However, if you are planning to come and decide to make a travel reservation (either hotel or flight) ahead of the formal invitations, feel free to let us know so we can expect you!
The best part of NYC is there are lots of ways to get around! The easiest and most direct way to get around is via Uber or Lyft. If you’d like to hoof it like a true New Yorker, you can get around using the MTA (see the travel tab for more info about which trains to take).
The ceremony begins at 6:30pm. We will not have access to the venue until the Botanical Garden closes at 6pm on the day. We suggest arriving as close to 6pm as possible so you can to give yourself time to make your way in and find your seats. (And maybe look around the gardens a bit!)
We get it! NYC is a huge city with overwhelming options! You can find detailed travel options by visiting the "travel" tab.
Thanks for asking! Check out the Registry tab for ideas!
