We met within the friendly confines of Naperville North High School (hey Huskies, what's your number?!) and had no idea we'd be engaged 10 years down the line. After a week in Colorado at Younglife camp together, we hit it off and Alec asked Caroline to be his girlfriend at the Homecoming dance! After that, we were there for one another through the big and small moments of our teenage years: meeting each other's families, 80's dances, late arrival carpooling together, state championships, Airband championships (and bleach blonde Alec), Friday night football games, and graduation.

Four years of road trips up and down Route 37 from Butler University to Indiana University. Many memories at the Speedway Coke Lot, Crossroads Classic basketball games, and of course the adoption of man's best friend, Tito. While living in two different places, we managed to gain two amazing groups of supportive friends and two new favorite Midwest cities. After college, Caroline made Indianapolis her new home, Alec came back to the Windy City.

Caroline said "YES!!" in one of our favorite places in Chicago, the South Pond in Lincoln Park, followed by a dinner and champagne for two. Celebrations continued the next day with both of our families coming together for tamale making, celebratory margaritas, and the gift of our first tamale pot! The last year and beyond of being engaged has been our best season of life yet. We are excited to see where life takes us next.
