Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)

DCA is the closest airport to DC city limits and has daily flights to major metro areas throughout the U.S. It runs of the Blue and Yellow Metro lines for public transport.

Dulles is located about an hour and 30 minute Metro ride away into Virginia on the Silver Line. The drive is traffic dependent, anywhere from 40 minutes to an hour and 30 minutes.

Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)

BWI is about 45 minutes to an hour and a half by car into Maryland, toward Baltimore, and is connected to both Maryland Commuter Rail (MARC) and Amtrak, which both take you into Union Station in Downtown DC.

Amtrak-Union Station (WAS)

We take Amtrak frequently back to NY and it is an excellent option, with affordable fares if you buy early. From Penn Station in NYC, expect about a 3.5 hour journey.
