Lighthall Vineyards
One of our favorite wineries in the county. Prince Edward County is known for its wine scene, and summer is ideal for tastings, tours, and scenic vineyard picnics - add this as one of your stops if you are keen to visit a winery. Check out Wellington and Bloomfield area if you want to visit two or three wineries without too much travelling. Biking and tasting tours in this area are fantastic!
Slake Brewing
Slake Brewing is a must-visit for beer lovers exploring Prince Edward County. Enjoy crisp, easy-drinking pints with panoramic countryside and Lake Ontario views from the taproom and patio. Forgot to mention they offer delicious homemade tacos!
Millennium Trail
Keen for a walk, run, or cycle after all that food and drink? Check out the converted rail trail that spans across the county, great views cruising through vineyards and farms.
Sandbanks Provincial Park
Sandy beaches, dunes, swimming, and picnicking - perfect for a summer beach day. You should reserve and purchase a Daily Vehicle Permit (DVP) in advance to guarantee entry. These are released online up to 5 days before the date you want to visit and it’s strongly recommended to book early because the park often fills up on busy summer days.
