We are still planning to have our wedding on November 7th, although with a much smaller group. If you are unable to attend the wedding in person, please see the details for the live stream of our wedding and reception. We are so excited to share this moment with all of you, in person or virtually. If you are attending in person, please rest assured that we are taking all of the precautions necessary for our guest's safety. We have rescheduled the large reception to 2021 in Raleigh, NC. We look forward to seeing you all then, hopefully in person! Until then, please stay safe & healthy.
Caroline & Anthony have known each other since they were kids and have grown up spending a lot of time at Topsail Beach - it is very near and dear to both their hearts. Anthony played hockey with Caroline's cousins and they actually had crushes on each other in middle school but neither of them knew! Anthony & Caroline had been living parallel lives since they were kids, going to the same school, spending lots of time with family at Topsail (Caroline's parents even considered buying the empty lot next to Anthony's, not knowing where they would be today). The pair ended up crossing paths at the perfect time and were both ready for something real. They went out to dinner and things were seamless... they just clicked. After that, they both knew this was it!
The couple were walking on the beach and Anthony pointed out a shovel in the sand toward the dunes. Caroline bent down and found a beautiful shell (that clearly did not belong on Topsail Beach) then noticed a line of shells to the shovel. Anthony dug up a treasure box buried in the sand and in that box was the ring box and then he got down on one knee and proposed! His Mom was hiding in the dunes filming the entire engagement and taking photos. It was perfect.
