Mark and Carol hung out in the same friend circle in college. They went on to live very separate lives after college, although they were at a handful of the same events and concerts over the years, neither of them knew it at the time. Finally, the universe aligned - waiting in line at the bar the Goat in Manchester, NH they found their way back to each other. They didn't end up exchanging numbers but Mark found a way to slide into Carol's DM's after. They had both been spending time in Florida and were in no rush to jump back into a relationship so they tried to avoid each other for a little bit. Two months later on April 5th Mark & Carol caved and went on their first date, and the rest is history.
After a very romantic riverside picnic Mark proposed in one of the couple's favorite places - by the water fountains in the garden of Prescott Park in Portsmouth, NH. It was a day that got pushed out a few more weeks than Mark would have liked due to rainy weather, and other circumstances beyond his control. However it ended up being the most perfectly sunshine-filled curated day, continued by a boat cruise around the Portsmouth Harbor & Piscataqua River with our closest friends, complete with dinner downtown at the Oar House to celebrate.
