The Wedding Website of Carol Kessel and Hayden Krueger
Please see below for several hotel options both on and off the island, as well as a campground. There are a ton of places you can stay on and near Mackinac Island, feel free to reach out to us if you'd like additional help or recommendations. You will also find the links to the websites for the two ferry services to and from the island: Shepler's and Arnold Transit Line. You can find the summer ferry schedule for both lines as well as parking information and have the option to purchase ferry tickets ahead of time if you would like. Again, please let us know if you need help or have any questions!

Hotel

Bicycle Street Inn

7416 Main Street
Mackinac Island, MI 49757

This is our absolute favorite hotel on the island, and the one we will be staying at if any guests care to stay on the island at the same place!

Hotel

Chippewa Hotel Waterfront

7221 Main Street
Mackinac Island, MI 49757

This is the hotel that is attached to the restaurant where dinner will be held, it is beautiful and on the waterfront, although a bit on the pricey side. But this is another option for guests who want to stay on the island.

Hotel

Hamilton Inn Select Beachfront Mackinaw City

701 South Huron Avenue
Mackinaw City, MI 49701

Here is another hotel option on the Mackinaw City side of the bridge, staying on the mainland is definitely going to be cheaper than staying on the island, but just note that the last ferry back to the city is at 9 pm, so keep that in account for your plans. Mackinaw City is has a cute downtown area with lots of shops and restaurants, as well as a few historic sites that can be visited. There are a ton of hotel options in Mackinaw City, any of them are fine!

Hotel

Quality Inn Lakefront

1021 North State Street
St. Ignace, MI 49781

Another option is to stay on the north side of the bridge in the Upper Peninsula in St. Ignace. There is less to do on this side than on the city side, but you can easily drive back and forth across the bridge (please note there is a bridge toll!) However, the flip side is that the hotels in St. Ignace are usually cheaper. There are a ton of hotel options in St Ignace as well!

Hotel

Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping

9730 U.S. 23
Mackinaw City, MI 49701

If camping is more your style, there are several campgrounds in the area. This is Carol's absolute favorite, the one she grew up camping at every year since childhood. The campground does offer a shuttle service to the ferry docks, as do several of the hotels.
