Things To Do

The Harbor Bar & Grill

3024 17th Street, Metairie, LA 70002

We went here on our first date! And our second... and our third... This is where David Gerard SHOUTED the question, so needless to say, The Harbor holds a very special place in our hearts. Also - 10/10 would recommend the Harbor Burger (Carol gets the slider) and the Chicken Drummletts. David Gerard and Tiffany would like to recommend the Southwestern Egg Rolls.

Ghost City Tours in New Orleans

809 Royal Street, New Orleans, LA 70116

Very touristy, but New Orleans is SO rich in it's history and supernatural lore! Carol has done the tour at least 3 times, and each time there are different stories. It is so much fun and you get to learn something too!

Frenchmen Street

Frenchmen Street, New Orleans, LA

If you are looking for the Jazz Music scene in The French Quarter, this is your place! For our out of town guests, we would recommend you come here as opposed to Bourbon Street. Unless, of course, you'd like to brave Bourbon Street! (Still, Frenchman Street has much better music!)

Cajun Encounters Tours

941 Decatur Street, New Orleans, LA 70116

Again, mostly for our out of town guests. The Swamp Tours are incredibly enjoyable, especially if you've never seen an alligator! Carol has been on this tour at least 3 times with various visitors, and has a blast each time. Just, don't go for a swim, please... we'd still love to celebrate with you :)

Honey Island Swamp Tours

41490 Crawford Landing Road, Slidell, LA 70461

If you are serious about a Swamp Tour, here is another great option!

Felix's Restaurant & Oyster Bar

739 Iberville Street, New Orleans, LA 70130

Looking for oysters or a taste of New Orleans? Say less.

The National WWII Museum

945 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA 70130

As two history lovers, Carol and David Gerard would be remiss if they didn't recommend you go see the National WWII Museum. They've really done an excellent job and it is a fantastic museum.

City Park

New Orleans, LA

Looking to spend some time outside? Go the New Orleans Museum of Art? See the botanical gardens? Play golf? Take a ride in a swan boat? This is it! Enjoy the beautiful living oak trees and the little ponds!

The Gold Mine Saloon

701 Dauphine Street, New Orleans, LA 70116

A super fun late night - early morning bar! Make sure to get a Flamin' Dr. Pepper shot!

Jacques-Imo's

8324 Oak Street, New Orleans, LA 70118

The bride has never been, but has heard a lot of great things! New Orleans cuisine and such!

MaMou

942 North Rampart Street, New Orleans, LA 70116

A fantastic recommendation from the cousin of the groom! If you like French food, go here!

LUVI Restaurant

5236 Tchoupitoulas Street, New Orleans, LA 70115

Fabulous "Asian Fusion" restaurant that David Gerard and Carol really enjoyed.

Tito's Ceviche & Pisco

5015 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA 70115

One of Carol's favorite restaurants. If you like Peruvian food, or just good food in general, this is a great place to check out!
