We are getting married!

In March 2024, we met on Hinge — and Zack used one of his limited roses to get Carolina’s attention. What started with a dating app quickly turned into something much bigger. Our first date was at a Hawaiian restaurant in Powell, Ohio, where we talked for hours until the staff begin sweeping around us, and instantly felt a connection. Soon after, we started traveling together, from family trips to Pelee Island in Canada to a wedding in Boston where Carolina told Zack “I love you” for the very first time over oysters and city lights. A few months later, at Zack's triathlon in Cleveland, Carolina surprised him by driving two hours with a handmade sign to cheer him on. At the finish line, Zack asked Carolina to be his girlfriend. As our relationship grew, so did the connection between our families. During Thanksgiving, our families met for the first time in Columbus, blending Colombian warmth and Midwest hospitality into unforgettable memories. In 2025, Zack visited Colombia for the first time and completely fell in love with the country, the culture, and Carolina’s family. From unforgettable nights out in Bogotá to family trips and traditions, we built a life filled with adventure, laughter, and love. Soon after, we moved in together with our two dogs, Bailey and Steely, creating a home that felt completely ours. In November 2025, Zack proposed to Carolina with a surprise that included bringing Carolina’s parents to the United States so both families could celebrate together. It became one of the most unforgettable weeks of our lives. Now, surrounded by the people we love most, we cannot wait to celebrate this next chapter together in Colombia. ------+------ En marzo de 2024 nos conocimos en Hinge, donde Zack usó una de sus rosas limitadas para llamar la atención de Carolina. Lo que comenzó en una aplicación de citas rápidamente se convirtió en algo mucho más grande. Nuestra primera cita fue en un restaurante hawaiano donde hablamos durante horas y sentimos una conexión inmediata. Poco después comenzamos a viajar juntos, desde paseos familiares a Pelee Island en Canadá hasta una boda en Boston, donde Carolina le dijo a Zack “te amo” por primera vez entre ostras y las luces de la ciudad. Unos meses después, al finalizar uno de los triatlones de Zack, Carolina lo sorprendió manejando dos horas con un cartel hecho a mano para apoyarlo. En la meta, Zack le pidió a Carolina que fuera su novia. A medida que nuestra relación crecía, también lo hacía la unión entre nuestras familias. Durante Accion de Gracias, nuestras familias se conocieron por primera vez, mezclando la calidez colombiana con la hospitalidad del Midwest americano en momentos inolvidables. En 2025, Zack visitó Colombia por primera vez y se enamoró completamente del país, la cultura y la familia de Carolina. Entre noches inolvidables en Bogotá, viajes familiares y tradiciones colombianas, construimos una vida llena de aventuras, risas y amor. Poco después, nos mudamos juntos con nuestros dos perros, Bailey y Steely, creando un hogar que se sentía completamente nuestro. En noviembre de 2025, Zack le propuso matrimonio a Carolina con una sorpresa que incluyó traer a los papás de Carolina a Estados Unidos para que ambas familias pudieran celebrarlo juntos. Se convirtió en una de las semanas más inolvidables de nuestras vidas. Ahora, rodeados de las personas que más amamos, estamos felices de celebrar este nuevo capítulo juntos en Colombia.
