Caroline and Will met in Palm Beach, Florida on an unusually cool and breezy Sunday. After some text banter, Caroline agreed to meet Will, albeit in a public place and under the supervision of Goose, her sister’s golden retriever, who immediately fell in love with Will. That dog walk led to dinner. After dropping her off that evening, Will wondered when and if he’d see her again. She had mentioned that she took Goose to Dunbar Beach every morning around 8am, so the next morning Will ran there to squeeze in another meeting before he had to leave for DC. Weeks passed, and she was still on his mind, so he decided to go big! Will invited Caroline to fly back to DC and drive to Bethany Beach together to get COVID shots before they were widely available. They embarked on their first of many trips together and returned with butterflies in their stomachs and vaccines running through their veins. Their next adventure would be an epic wedding in Deer Valley, Utah. In Deer Valley, Will learned that Caroline was the real deal: She crushed a 9-mile hike, rubbed shoulders with a brand new crowd as if they’d been friends for years, and laughed hysterically with the bride as Will was brought on stage for a public dance off. Things got more serious when Will invited Caroline up to his family’s home in Norfolk, Connecticut. A hurricane hit Norfolk making it impossible for Caroline to return to DC, they rode out the storm together in the rustic and cozy carriage house. After that Caroline returned to Norfolk three weekends in a row, and they've never looked back.
