Love at first sight wasn't quite the story here. David and Paige first met on May 31, 2021 at the annual "Murph" event at the local CrossFit gym, Vette City CrossFit. While David may no longer be able to take his eyes off of Paige, the same was not true during that first meeting where he didn't so much as make eye contact with her. The pair let their individual lives play out for the next 5 months exchanging looks, some menacing and some not; and as fate would have it, on November 9, 2021, David would send Paige that daring message, "this will probably come back to bite me in the ass". Come November 18, 2021, David knew he had at least a crush on Paige and in an attempt to win her over, decided to put up his Christmas Tree despite strong feelings that Christmas is not to be celebrated until after Thanksgiving. This same day, Paige and David would go out on their first date for dinner at Local Taco followed by dessert from Rita's Italian Ice and Frozen Custard. Following dinner, David decided to surprise Paige by bringing her to visit their first of three fur babies and his horribly decorated Christmas tree. The couple, accompanied by their puppies, have set out to visit every United States National Park, one of which holds a special place in the couple's hearts. February 6, 2023, while hiking the beautiful Ram Head Trail in the Virgin Islands National Park, David asked the awkwardly phrased question, "I don't know what to say, but I know I want to spend the rest of my life with you...please?". Fast forward to today, David and Paige have grown to become David, Paige, Milo, Zoe, and Eevee. Paige and David met through CrossFit, bonded over tacos and ice cream, but fell in love through pizza, puppies, and travel.
