In 2018, Lauren had a summer house with friends in Avalon, NJ. One August night, as her and her friends were taking a lap around the bar, Lauren spotted Rob and his friends hanging in the Rock Room at the Princeton, or as Rob likes to call it, the Shark Bar. Lauren approached Rob, spoke briefly and soon walked away to find the rest of her friends. But something told her that she needed to go back. She felt an instant connection. She soon went back and hung out with Rob and his friends all night. Rob drove back down the shore the following weekend to take Lauren on their first date, lunch at the Icona followed by a day on the bay and WhiteBrier happy hour!

The year 2020 gave us quite the ride. Though there were many ups and downs, Lauren and Rob agree that the pandemic brought them much closer together and solidified their love for each other. It was only fitting that Rob wanted to end 2020 on a positive note and got down on one knee in front of their beautiful Christmas tree on New Years Eve and asked Lauren to spend the rest of her life with him!
