The Cliff Walk
No better place to take a break from busy downtown Newport, than to take a walk with some of the best views in the state! The walk runs 3.5 miles and about two-thirds of the walk is in easy walking condition. Take in the breathtaking ocean views, and pass along by some of the famous Newport Mansions. The starting point at Memorial Boulevard and 1st Beach. You can park in the beach parking lot (for a fee) or if you're lucky, you might find a metered spot on the hill just below the entrance to the Cliff Walk.
The Red Parrot Restaurant
If you ask a local where to grab a cup of chowdah, this is where they'll send you! Their menu has something to offer everyone. This place will always be special for us as it is where we spent our first Valentines together as a couple.

Whalers Brewing Company
Located in Cathryn's hometown about 20 minutes from Newport. Whalers is one of our favorite spots to go with friends. Dog friendly and BYO Food, you can't go wrong going for a beer and learning why Whalers was voted best APA in the country a few years and counting. Can't make it to Whalers but want to try Rise? Not a problem, almost ever bar in downtown Newport now carries it on tap!
