Peter first introduced himself to Carmen after she beat him in a workout with 24" box jumps. Moonstruck by her athletic talent, he spent the next 9 months trying to learn more about her. Peter would wait for Carmen to finish stretching so he could walk her from the gym to the corner of 9th & C, where their conversations grew but never materialized into a date. Carmen began referring to Peter as CrossFit Crush. He became her biggest rival at the gym, so much so their coaches intentionally placed them next to each other in workouts because no one pushed the other harder. Finally, on June 18th, 2018 Peter worked up the courage to ask Carmen out for oysters, and they have been together ever since. To this day, they remain each others' number one champion.
