FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by July 1st, otherwise bring a chair and a sandwich.

Question

Why Oysterville?

Answer

We have been retreating to the Washington coast for a number of years now and have really grown to love the area. We stumbled upon Oysterville a few years ago and have a fond appreciation for both its history and beauty. We always have to visit when we are in town, and I personally grow more and more in love with it with each visit. We hope you’ll take the time to go on the Oysterville Walking Tour after our ceremony and hope you enjoy it’s history as much as we do.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal summer attire. Not sure what that means? Ask your friend Google. Ladies are encouraged to wear/bring flats. Reception at the schoolhouse is in the grass.

Question

Are you registered?

Answer

Yes, we have registered with Amazon. The registry page seems to not always respond when clicking “show registry” so if it doesn’t show for you, you can search by our names on Amazon through their registry page, or copy this link: https://www.amazon.com/wedding/share/carmenandnick2019

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

This is a direct invite only event, if your date was not on the invite, then they are not invited. Our venues are small and intimate, and only have capacity for those invited.

Question

What’s for dinner?

Answer

Appetizers, meats, cheeses and flash fried calamari Spring salad with local greens Seared halibut, smoked brisket, red beans and rice and dinner rolls* Catering Courtesy of The Cove Restaurant all menu items gluten free *excluding dinner rolls

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes. Limited parking is available, Jorge Jr. can help you get parked upon arrival. The church and schoolhouse are located around the small corner from one another, so no need to park more than once.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

See the travel page for some specific recommendations. Please keep in mind that the travel page is not inclusive of all options. Ocean Park Washington is the closest town to use for a search: AirB&B offers some options. Long Beach Washington is also a good option and is a “bigger” town than Ocean Park. Long Beach is about 20-25 minutes from the wedding depending on hotel location. Oysterville is a very small private town and does not offer lodging options.
